Developed and art-directed a series of medical illustrations for an urologic clinic in Russia. The illustrations were created for both patent documentation and patient education, striking a balance between scientific accuracy and visual clarity. This project aimed to improve professional communication and patient understanding through high-quality medical visuals with final purpose to make people healthier.
Design tasks which I had and completed:
Created initial series of detailed anatomical and procedural illustrations for patent filings
Built a visual language that translated complex urological topics into accessible visuals for patients
Hired and led two graphic illustrators, acting as art director throughout the visual production
Designed and reviewed illustrations for professional Instagram posts, ensuring medical correctness and brand consistency
Coordinated directly with the clinic's medical staff for validation and feedback
Oversaw production quality and visual consistency across all channels

Creating clear and approachable illustrations for a complex field like urologic medicine was a real challenge - but also a rewarding one. Translating medical procedures into visuals that are both accurate and easy to understand pushed my visual storytelling skills. Beyond that, the project gave me a great opportunity to sharpen my art-direction abilities and lead visual production with confidence

Created four high-detail, medically precise illustrations for a patent showcasing an innovative surgical technology.
We held numerous meetings and feedback sessions to ensure the illustrations were accurate, refined, and aligned with the surgeon vision.

Key results
The patent was eventually published, and 95% of the illustrations were also featured as thumbnails in high-quality Instagram posts by NPC-URO, helping to promote medical knowledge and support public wellness.
